This session will help participants…

  1. improve communication with parents regarding the evaluation process by using culturally sensitive and accessible language,
  2. identify ways to modify interventions to increase parent buy-in, and
  3. understand cultural differences in the perception of behavioral challenges.

Description

This workshop will address the communication barriers school psychologists face when supporting multicultural families throughout the evaluation process. Special considerations related to postpandemic assessment and intervention issues will be discussed.
