Gain practical tools for supporting immigrant children and families. Learn how to implement culturally responsive, trauma-informed practices and address legal, emotional, and academic challenges within a multitiered support framework.

Learner Objectives:

This session will help participants:

  1. Implement nondiscriminatory, strength-based, and culturally responsive practices to support immigrant children.
  2. Identify and address core stressors and trauma in immigrant children through evidence-based, multitiered interventions.
  3. Educate school professionals and community members on how political climates and laws impact the emotional, social, and academic well-being of immigrant children.
