This session introduces micro-level advocacy and how school psychologists can work with school teams to support all students through socially just MTSS practices.

Learner Objectives:

This session will help participants:

  1. Describe the areas of school psychology practice that can be spaces for engaging in micro-level advocacy.
  2. Analyze how other school psychologists have engaged in advocacy for social justice and/or MTSS.
  3. Apply principles of advocacy to the needs of students in their own schools and districts.
  4. Identify local resources and potential collaborators to make micro-level advocacy more feasible.
