Participants will gain practical strategies to address racism and racial battle fatigue in schools, supporting the mental health and success of students of color.

Learner Objectives:

This session will help participants:

  1. Identify critical self-analysis strategies to examine one's personal biases, power, and positionality
  2. Describe universal strategies to build culturally responsive and identity safe educational contexts
  3. Utilize targeted assessment methods to identity the impact of racism on the mental health and wellbeing of students of color
  4. Apply interventions to facilitate the healing of students of color who experience racism and racial battle fatigue
