Learner Objectives

This session will help participants…

  1. address the barriers to academic success that Deaf and Hard of Hearing face due to difficulty accessing the curriculum and developing key academic skills.
  2. facilitate the social emotional development of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students through both direct and indirect services.
  3. act as an effective consultant to members of a Deaf and Hard of Hearing student's team.
  4. develop strategies that can be applied within their schools and learn about resources within their communities.

Description

Come learn strategies for how school psychologists can support Deaf and Hard of Hearing students to promote their academic and social–emotional success through facilitating connection and language opportunities.
