  1. learn the importance of establishing and understanding a school's identity awareness, behavioral expectations, data-based decision making, and discipline policies within culturally responsive PBIS systems.
  2. learn the role cultural context plays in PBIS implementation.
  3. apply culturally responsive PBIS practices in their schools, in order to better serve students from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Description

This poster highlights results of a study on positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS) implementation in the Belizean cultural context. Through observations and interviews, the researchers examined how PBIS is understood, implemented, and adapted in a Belizean school.
