  1. consult with teachers and other school professionals in the use of online mindfulness practices for students.
  2. increase knowledge and understanding of best practices in teacher training related to mindfulness.
  3. understand and apply mindfulness practices online with teachers and other members of a school community.


This presentation focuses on the development and implementation of a mindfulness training initiative for teachers in an urban elementary school. The initiative began pre-COVID-19 through the delivery of professional development workshops and face-to-face classroom training. With the closure of schools, it was adapted to an online format. In addition to covering specific mindfulness interventions for teachers, the presentation will highlight effective strategies for online mindfulness and the importance of addressing logistical challenges.
