Learner Objectives

This session will help participants…

  1. become familiar with completing and utilizing a fidelity tool, the Family–School Collaboration: Tiered Fidelity Inventory (FSC: TFI), to assess the core features and practices of family–school collaboration within MTSS.
  2. demonstrate understanding of the conceptual foundations and empirical support for the core features and practices of a framework for family–school collaboration within multitiered systems of support (MTSS).
  3. demonstrate familiarity with resources to assist schools with improving implementation of family–school collaboration practices assessed within the FSC: TFI.

Description

The purpose of this session is to describe a framework of family–school collaboration within multitiered systems of support (MTSS). The Family–School Collaboration: Tiered Fidelity Inventory (FSC: TFI), a free fidelity tool used to assess family–school collaboration within MTSS, will be reviewed and shared with participants. Participants will be provided with resources to improve family–school collaboration practices within MTSS.
