Learner Objectives

This session will help participants…

  1. gain a clearer understanding of the prevalence of burnout, levels of distress tolerance,and post traumatic growth outcomes in the school psychology workforce
  2. learn simple data-based strategies to catalyze the design and implementation of school-based projects that reduce burnout, enhance job satisfaction, and promote posttraumatic growth in the school psychology work force
  3. offer even more support to the NASP Strategic Plan to preserve and expand a strong, high-quality, and diverse, school psychology workforce post-pandemic.

Description

Practitioners, trainers, administrators, and students will learn current research findings about the high prevalence of burnout and distress tolerance among school psychologists in this pandemic era. This session will highlight data-based strategies to catalyze healing and posttraumatic growth outcomes that will preserve and expand a strong, high-quality, and diverse postpandemic school psychology workforce.
