School psychologists handle some of the most sensitive information in a school district. The responsibility to keep this information secure and private has become more challenging in light of how much technology is used to facilitate interventions and assessments. This workshop will give school psychologists the tools to continue protecting students’ information while still getting the most out of what technology has to offer.

General use of technology being employed in practice by school psychologists, including cloud computing. Knowledge of special education record keeping in their state.
Practical Tools
Steps to take to ensure privacy of student records when using technology, instructions on how to encrypt documents on the computer and cloud, and how to secure passwords and accounts.
