Abstract
LGBTQ+ youth are at high risk for internalizing, externalizing, and maladaptive behaviors. School climate can be impactful on students’ mental and physical health, and resources such as a Gay-Straight Alliance and LGBTQ+ curriculum have been shown to increase resiliency in LGBTQ+ youth. Data collected from a midwestern university assessed if students’ perceptions of safety and wellbeing are impacted by the availability of resources and supports at the high school and collegiate levels.
