* The MA/EdS Program seeks to prepare students for state-level credentialing for school practice. Students are engaged in field experiences throughout the 3 year sequence of preparation. Dr. Beth Meisinger is director of the PhD Program. The program follows the scientist-practitioner model emphasizing a research orientation and encouraging students to seek academic positions. All students in the MA/EdS and PhD programs are reimbursed for required background checks and provided liability coverage through a departmental policy. Registration fees to state and national conferences are often paid and student membership fees to the TASP are paid by the program. A grant from the TDOE allows eligible students to be paid $20,000-$25,000 for the EdS level internship. Although some required courses may be completed online, this is NOT an online program.
