Poster Sessions (PO)
Posters are visual displays of information that are shared together as a group by theme.
Mini-Skills (MS)
Get in-depth, hands-on training that is focused on delivering usable skills for practitioners in these 110 minutes sessions.
Symposia (SY)
Hear opposing viewpoints on a topic followed by a discussion by panelists in these 80 minute sessions.
Workshops (WS)
Adding a workshop to your convention registration is a great way to delve deeper into topics and earn documented CPD.
Workshops offer
- Field-tested strategies for practitioners
- Intensive half- and full-day sessions
- 3 or 6 hours of documented CPD
Workshops require preregistration and an additional fee, guaranteeing you a seat in the session on a first-come, first-served basis.
Participant Information Exchange (PI)
Participant Information Exchange Sessions are structured, small group discussions on a topic. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Interest Group Networking Sessions (IG)
Interest Group Network Sessions provide an opportunity to share ideas and strategies with those who share your interests.
Special Sessions (SS)
Special Sessions are sponsored by different NASP workgroups and committees and address priorities of the association.
Special Events (SE)
Several special events are held during the convention. Some special events require preregistration and an additional fee.
Meetings (MT)
Meetings that take place during the annual convention are sponsored by NASP committees. A chronological list of the meetings scheduled during this year’s convention follows.
Documented Sessions (DS)
Documented Sessions are 80-minute sessions designed specifically for advanced practitioners and require preregistration and a processing fee ($10 for members, $15 for nonmembers). Attendees will be eligible to receive a certificate of attendance documenting 1.25 hours of NASP-approved CPD* credit.
*NASP is also approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. NASP maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
Note. To receive CPD, attendees must arrive at the session on time, provide a ticket at the door, remain for the entire session, and complete and submit an evaluation.
Featured Sessions (FS)
Featured sessions relate to the convention theme and are presented by leading experts who are invited to speak by the Convention Committee.
Practitioner Conversations (PC)
View dates, times, and descriptions of the Practitioner Conversation sessions below. While each session has a limited number of spots, they will be recorded and available on-demand after the convention. These sessions do not provide NASP-approved CPD, however they can be claimed for Category H CPD credit (self-study).
On-Demand Sessions (OS)
On-demand sessions will be accessible during the convention week and again beginning approximately 2 weeks after the convention for 60 days. These sessions do not provide NASP-approved CPD, however they can be claimed for Category H CPD credit (self-study).
Live Sessions (LS)
View full details about the live sessions, including descriptions and learning objectives. All live sessions (as indicated by LS in the session ID), provide documented, NASP-approved* CPD as indicated by the checkmark below when watched in real time. If watching on-demand later, these sessions can be claimed for Category H CPD credit (self-study).
