This session will help participants…

  1. apply an understanding of the racialized history of mathematics and the research-based methods of engaging diverse learners to their practice;
  2. practice their consultee-centered consultation skills through interactive simulation activity with their peers; and
  3. advocate for evidence-based strategies to support mathematics learning for diverse students in schools.

Description

In this session, participants will learn how school psychologists can promote inclusive learning in math classrooms by culturally responsive teaching through means of consultee-centered consultation (CCC).
