This session will help participants…

  1. analyze the core components of the CRPBIS model and how they address racial disparities in K–12 disciplinary actions;
  2. describe the actual differences between PBIS and CRPBIS frameworks; and
  3. make recommendations for implementing this evidence-based framework in order to reduce racial inequity.

Description

Ethnic minority students receive more disciplinary referrals than their White peers. This literature review describes how educators can implement the CRPBIS framework, shifting the disciplinary focus toward student-centered learning environments.
