Learner Objectives

This session will help participants…

  1. gain knowledge of the psychometric basis for many suggested SEL assessments and how they are used in schools during this session;
  2. learn how to critically evaluate fairness and validity evidence for SEL assessments; and
  3. be exposed to a new conceptual framework to consider evidence for test fairness.

Description

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the validity and fairness evidence of prominent SEL assessments, enriching researchers' and practitioners' understanding of their quality and usefulness.
