This session will help participants…

  1. identify the overlapping diagnostic criteria and characteristics found in autism/ADHD, autism/anxiety, and autism/depression.
  2. recognize sex differences in male and female presentations of each condition.
  3. explore methods of screening and assessing for autism, ADHD, anxiety, and depression in the school setting.
  4. engage attendees in differential diagnosis case study exercises.

Description

Practice identifying and differentiating the shared and unique qualities of autism, anxiety, depression, and ADHD. Take home tools, tips, and strategies to provide diagnostic clarification and supports for students.
