This session will help participants…

  1. identify the challenges multilingual and monolingual practitioners face in providing high-quality and equitable services to multilingual learners.
  2. understand the complexity of delivering school mental health services to multilingual learners.
  3. identify professional competencies graduate programs can use to develop robust training programs that meet the needs of multilingual leaners.

Description

Many school psychology programs do not provide adequate training in services for multilingual learners. School psychology faculty and practitioners will discuss critical training to practice gaps.
