This session will help participants…

  1. analyze the effectiveness of Stay, Play, Talk as a sibling-mediated intervention utilizing a multiple-baseline design;
  2. explain how sibling-mediated interventions support social communication and interaction skills following intervention; and
  3. describe how sibling mediated interventions fit into a comprehensive role as outlined by the NASP Practice Model and enhance family–school collaboration.

Description

The effectiveness of Stay, Play, Talk, a sibling-mediated intervention, is investigated in supporting the joint attention of children with autism using siblings as peer-models across a multiple-baseline design.
