Learner Objectives

This session will help participants…

  1. learn about a family–school partnership intervention—Conjoint Behavioral Consultation (CBC);
  2. describe a virtual professional development (VPD) approach to increasing school practitioners’ capacities to implement CBC; and
  3. understand preliminary results of study testing the effects of CBC virtual professional development on (a) rural school practitioners’ knowledge and self-efficacy, (b) social–behavioral outcomes for students with behavior problems, and (c) parent–teacher relationships.

Description

This session presents preliminary results of a study testing an innovative virtual professional development model (online training, coaching) for rural school practitioners. Practitioner, student, and parent–teacher outcomes will be presented.
