Learner Objectives

This session will help participants…

  1. gain a comprehensive understanding of the principles and practices of culturally responsive teaching and classroom management (CRT-CRCM) and its significance in promoting equitable education;
  2. develop the ability to identify key aspects of teaching strategies that could benefit from the incorporation of CRT-CRCM principles, thereby fostering an inclusive and respectful classroom environment; and
  3. identify how school psychologist can promote an inclusive school environment through consultation on CRT-CRCM.

Helping teachers understand and utilize culturally responsive practices is critical for creating inclusive schools. Learn teachers’ current beliefs about culturally responsive teaching and ways to build capacity in this area.
