This session will help participants…

  1. learn about the current research regarding the potential benefits and harm of social media on students' mental health;
  2. learn positive actions that school psychologists can take to increase benefits and decrease harm of social media usage; and
  3. obtain tangible parent, teacher, and student resources that promote positive social media usage and safety guidelines geared towards promoting positive student mental health.

Description

This presentation will address current research regarding social media's impact on youth mental health and provide resources for school psychologist that address potential benefits and harm of social media usage.
