This session will help participants…

  1. learn about the perspectives of Black youth in regard to their student–teacher relationships in an elementary school classroom;
  2. further examine teacher's perspectives of their classroom relationships with their Black students; and
  3. investigate whether ADHD symptomology and academic performance impact the student–teacher relationship.

Description

How do Black students view their studentteacher relationship (STR)? Does ADHD symptomology and academic achievement affect teacher ratings of STR? A look into factors affecting STRs in Black youth.
