  1. describe how gifted students are conceptualized and identified.
  2. assess how intelligence tests can influence underrepresentation of students of color in gifted programs.
  3. explain the difference between test bias and test equity.

Description

Underrepresentation of Black, Hispanic, and Native American students; English language learners (ELLs); and students living in poverty is an ongoing issue in gifted education. We will discuss research-based practical solutions.
