This session will help participants…

  1. identify appropriate methods to establish and promote positive school climate environments for students from minority backgrounds.
  2. learn and understand the importance of school climate and its impact on minority students' social and emotional outcomes.
  3. recognize and discuss factors that contribute to overall school climate, especially for students from marginalized backgrounds.

Description

Graduate students and early career professions can use this time to discuss various interventions and methods to promote positive school climate environments for youth from minority backgrounds.
