This session will help participants…

  1. describe the significance of culturally responsive social–emotional learning practices in supporting the mental well-being of Black and Latinx students;
  2. identify current culturally responsive social–emotional learning practices being implemented with efficacy and apply similar approaches to one’s practice; and
  3. develop strategies for promoting an equitable school-wide environments.

Description

Many Black and Latinx students experience inequities in social–emotional learning environments. Presenters will decipher current practices and aim to provide equitable learning strategies for school psychologists to implement in schools.
