This session will help participants…

  1. recognize the utility of high-quality clinical interviews in conducting psychoeducational evaluations and determining special education supports and accommodations, especially for students with autism spectrum disorder;
  2. identify strategies for conducting effective clinical interviews with students, parents, and teachers; and
  3. develop an interview template that can be used during assessments.

Description

The presenters will discuss clinical interviewing strategies and provide resources that school psychologists can use with students, parents, and teachers during psychoeducational evaluations for autism and other disabilities.
