This session will help participants…

  1. understand the use and drawbacks of effect sizes in the context of single-case design research;
  2. examine the popularity of various effect sizes as well as the use of effect sizes over time; and
  3. understand how best to interpret effects in both research and practical contexts.

Description

This study examines SCD effect sizes used to quantify outcomes from academic interventions. Many effect sizes have been developed, yet a small number are used in SCDs for academic skills.
