  1. understand current uncertainty about the validity of the most common testing accommodation, extended time;
  2. understand one way students may choose to use extended time: checking their item responses during testing; and
  3. learn from a study the prevalence of checking behavior and if it is associated with improved scores.

Description

This presentation will help practitioners understand controversies about the extended time accommodation, as well as learn results of a study to determine if extended time use corresponds with checking behavior.
