This session will help participants…

  1. understand how the intersection of race and sexuality/gender expression play a role in social–emotional development components;
  2. understand what supports Black LGBTQ+ youth need in school settings to promote positive social–emotional development; and
  3. center marginalized youth in their practice and challenge the ways they think about intersectionality.

This presentation will begin a much-needed conversation about intersectionality in the context of social–emotional development. Learn from the experiences being shared by Black LGBTQ+ youth!
