Learner Objectives

This session will help participants…

  1. share strategies to navigate administrators, school boards, parents, and students with Queerphobic attitudes.
  2. discuss personal perspectives on the decision (or lack thereof) to be "out" when working in schools.
  3. share personal perspectives on how to feel seen and protected when working in schools.

Description

This session will provide a space for Queer-identifying school psychologists to engage in a discussion around the challenges of supporting LGBTQIA+ students in the current educational and political climate.
