This session will help participants…

  1. learn about the existing data on mental health, social–emotional learning, and educational attainment supports and advocacy that educators can provide to and for immigrant students;
  2. identify recommendations for practitioners to improve the educational experiences of immigrant students and promote their success; and
  3. reflect on limitations within their practice and gain tools to address them.

Gear up to improve Latinx newcomer immigrants students’ mental health, social emotional learning, and educational experiences through a literature review on school-based supports.
