  1. explore the current literature on exclusionary disciplinary practices among Black preschool-age children in early childhood programs;
  2. describe the theoretical frameworks that aim to explain the discrepancies in the discipline rates of Black preschool-age children in comparison to their peers; and
  3. understand the short-term and long-term familial impact of suspension and expulsion of Black preschool-age children.
