  • PMD: 1,3
  • Cost: Included in Registration
  • Skill Level: Introduction
  • Poster Session 2: Assessment and Intervention in an RTI Framework

Learner Objectives

This session will help participants…

  1. increase knowledge on using RTI as a tool for identifying students with SLD;
  2. identify a target skill for intervention and select a progress monitoring tool;
  3. understand how to implement empirically supported academic interventions with fidelity; and
  4. analyze intervention results and determine if the student has sufficiently made progress.

Description

Minority youth are consistently overrepresented in three IDEA categories which lead to disproportionality in special education programs. By implementing an RTI approach, school psychologists can combat this phenomenon.
