Learner Objectives

This session will help participants…

  1. learn how to use the NASP Practice Model to outline the role of a school psychologist within their school district.
  2. acquire knowledge of strategic planning principles and how they can be utilized to identify and address the needs of their school psychology departments, leading to improved service delivery and outcomes for students.
  3. gain practical skills in creating a comprehensive strategic plan, allowing them to take a systematic approach to improve their school psychology departments and advocate for necessary changes within their districts.
  4. learn how to collect and analyze relevant data to assess the impact of the strategic planning efforts, enabling them to make informed decisions, refine their approaches, and demonstrate the value of their work to administrators and other stakeholders.

Description

Participants will be provided strategies for how to advocate for an expanded role and tools for strategically planning at the district level to improve service delivery and student outcomes.
