Learner Objectives

This session will help participants…

  1. list different aspects of integrated academic and social–emotional–behavioral Tier 1 screening and instruction practices for which guidance may be needed;
  2. describe the variability across states regarding Tier 1 assessment and instructional guidance as well as recognize exemplary models;
  3. identify those states for which guidance may be classified as absent, general, or specific (i.e., academic or and social–emotional–behavioral); and
  4. recognize exemplary models of Tier 1 assessment and instructional guidance provided by states.

Description

Gain a national understanding of the state-level guidance provided to schools about universal academic and social–emotional–behavioral screening and instructional practices, including exemplary models of Tier 1 guidance.
