  1. explore current research about the effectiveness of sensory integration in addressing concerns common to children with neurodevelopmental conditions;
  2. explore common elements and practices in pseudoscience;
  3. consider the effects of sensory integration interventions used in professional practice; and
  4. apply an understanding of pseudoscientific intervention treatments to their professional practice.

Description

Pseudoscientific treatments are often promoted as treatment interventions for children with neurodevelopmental disorders. This session will describe current research related to sensory integration intervention and its use in professional practice.
