This session will help participants…

  1. learn one high school’s school-wide effort to conduct a universal social–emotional and behavioral screening;
  2. describe demographic factors that help predict which students might be opted out of screening and which students may be at risk of behavior problems; and
  3. learn ideas for identifying students with behavioral risk when universal screening is not possible or not feasible.

Description

Universal screening is important to identify high school students at risk for social–emotional concerns. This poster will highlight student characteristics associated with behavioral risk following one high school’s universal screening process.
