Learner Objectives

This session will help participants…

  1. understand how effective authentic school–family partnership intervention components were used in the school-wide SEL programs to address emotion distress;
  2. increase the awareness of treating families as equal partners in the planning and implementation of school-wide SEL programs to achieve equity and excellence for all students and families; and
  3. raise awareness of increasing the accessibility of SEL programs to students and families from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds.

Description

This poster reviews effective authentic school–family partnership intervention components in school-wide social–emotional learning programs for minoritized students. The purpose is to help practitioners use key components to implement transformative SEL.
