This session will help participants…

  1. learn about the main components of trauma-informed care, culturally responsive practice, and MTSS frameworks;
  2. describe how these frameworks interact with each other in practice and become consistent approaches; and
  3. learn strategies for integrating culturally responsive and trauma-informed practices into their implementation of MTSS.

Description

Literature related to trauma-informed care and cultural responsiveness within an MTSS framework will be summarized to share common elements and propose strategies for integration to inform systems change efforts.
