This session will help participants…

  1. analyze a tool to measure decision making skills and knowledge of high leverage practices in special education;
  2. describe the results of a pilot survey administration as well as the application of feedback to the coding procedures of data collection; and
  3. provide expert feedback on decision making and the use of high leverage practices relative to special education in their state, region, or country.

Description

This survey investigates preservice education professionals' self-efficacy, knowledge, and skills to identify disabilities and create effective adaptations. Findings from the survey will be presented, including qualitative coding procedures.
