This session will help participants…

  1. expand their knowledge of the education system and how it was and still is functioning as a way to perpetuate inequalities and inequities;
  2. point out barriers that racial and ethnic minority students face in schools; and
  3. take away some ways that help break down those barriers that can be implemented within the education system to make it more equitable and just.

Description

This poster presentation will aid participants in identifying some barriers racial and ethnic minority students face in the education system and how to break down those barriers.
