  1. understand one educational team’s progression of adapting a school-based autism assessment process for a specific Indigenous population;
  2. understand how they might be able to use a similar method to provide more culturally responsive assessment procedures; and
  3. identify resources that could be used in their own school-based autism assessment process.

Description

This session will review the process of a rural, interdisciplinary autism evaluation team’s progression of adapting the assessment process to provide a more culturally relevant assessment for Mescalero Apache students.
