Learner Objectives

This session will help participants…

  1. explore the most effective Tier 2 reading interventions that support the five main components of reading instruction;
  2. explore current research about reading interventions for elementary-age students; and
  3. identify commonly implemented interventions to aid students who struggle with reading difficulties, specifically in Tier 2 of multitiered systems of support (MTSS).

Description

Explore previous and current literature on the five primary areas of reading. Identify Tier 2 reading interventions that highlight the strongest research support within each area of elementary reading instruction.
