Learner Objectives

This session will help participants…

  1. learn and identify methods for active consent procedures for a school-wide screening;
  2. understand the importance of accessible family communication during active consent procedures and its relation to the culture of the school and its diverse families; and
  3. learn how to access resources for personal implementation of the active consent methods.

Description

Equitable access to mental health interventions starts with inclusion in identification procedures. Presenters will share response rates for five methods used to communicate and obtain active parent consent for screening.
