Learner Objectives

This session will help participants…

  1. describe how psychological inflexibility/experiential avoidance in students impacts academic outcomes as outlined in Domain 4 of the NASP Practice Model;
  2. analyze the effects of promoting psychological flexibility for students with mental and behavioral health issues;
  3. describe the importance of and need for interventions to develop psychologically flexible students; and
  4. understand how promoting psychological flexibility promotes mental and behavioral health in accordance with Domain 5 of the NASP Practice Model.

Description

This poster summarizes the results of a research project investigating the impact of psychological flexibility on course outcomes of undergraduate students enrolled in a postsecondary institution.
