This session will help participants…

  1. understand the psychometric properties of the Positive Family Support-Strengths and Needs Assessment and its short form;
  2. understand how the Positive Family Support-Strengths and Needs Assessment can be used to proactively engage families in a family-centered MTSS framework; and
  3. understand the positive social, emotional, and behavioral outcomes of the Family Check-Up intervention at transition to kindergarten.

Description

This presentation will describe the results of a research study investigating the psychometric and diagnostic properties of a social–emotional screener designed to proactively engage families in identifying strengths and needs.
