Learner Objectives
This session will help participants…
- know how to support NASP standard of mental and behavioral health intervention by critically examining mental health research and intervention programs for the well-being of students and young adults;
- understand how to collaborate with schools and clinical agencies in the implementation of SEL and mindfulness-based practices;
- know how to promote equity and social justice for those needing mental health supports; and
- know how to bridge research to practice to aid learning outcomes in K–12 schools and clinical settings.
Description
Mental health and emotional well-being are priorities in schools. This project examines results of a study implementing social and emotional learning and mindfulness-based practices in school-age children and young adults.
