This session will help participants…
- advocate for unstructured time in school as an opportunity to implement social–emotional interventions;
- determine which recess interventions led to social skill improvements for students with ASD; and
- explain why positive social interactions during unstructured time is essential in the prevention of bullying as outlined by NASP Practice Model Domain 8.
Description
This poster will synthesize research on evidence-based interventions for students with ASD implemented during recess. Benefits include supporting school psychologists interested in using unstructured school time to promote social–emotional competencies.
