Learner Objectives

This session will help participants…

  1. define and apply the concept of social validity, as defined by Wolf (1978), to their practice;
  2. gather and apply student perspectives to inform ongoing program evaluation and improvement; and
  3. identify opportunities to solicit student voice and create targeted questions to elicit feedback that can be used for program improvement.

Description

Understanding student perspectives on social validity can improve intervention implementation in schools. We will share how student voice was used to inform delivery of a Tier 2 positive psychology intervention.
